FIRST EYE BREAD FESTIVAL



Calling all home bakers and those who would like to have a go! A new event is being held on Saturday, 30th October, 11-4 at Cawley Hall, Eye Lane, near Luston, when the first Eye Bread Festival is launched. This is a must for anyone who likes bread, especially if you make your own, or would like to.


There will be stalls selling delicious bread, flour, jams, honey and books on baking. Attractions will include a bread making demonstration by artisan baker, Damion Lorentzen, a History of Breadmaking display, a demonstration of corn dolly making, a children’s breadmaking competition, bread machine advice, a tip-sharing chat corner, and the Mountain of Dough, when you can knead-shape-plait your own creation and then bake it!



Home-made refreshments, Geoff’s soup kitchen, cream teas, and a bar, will be available throughout the day, and all those bringing an example of their own bread will get in free (otherwise entry £2.00). So get baking and come and join in the fun.
