Unusual amunt of sightings

default Unusual amunt of sightings

Post by Mike on 29th October 2010, 1:52 pm

Living where we do, not at all unusual to sometimes see a wild critter when out driving. But late last night driving home from go club was spectacular that way. None of these sightings terribly unusual all by itself but on one stretch of road in fairly quick succession I saw a bear, a fox, and a deer.

Definite proof that the bears are still awake and so too early to risk leaving a bird feeder out (can risk have them out during the day, just remember to bring in).

Odd you should mention that, a neighbour just drove over to let me know that a mother bear and two cubs had been sighted on our lane. I have found scat close to the house as well

Er --- how about sightings of unusual amounts?

It's not at all unusual for us to see flocks of several turkeys. Not that rare to see flocks of more than several. But driving to the town library I just saw a flock of at least 70* out feeding on the stubble of a cornfield. And yes, I stopped to try to count them but since they werent co-operating by staying still hard to be more exact than that.
