Snow everywhere

(At this point the accumulated, packed down total is around 18" (45 cm). But a seriously big storm is supposed to start before daybreak and continue into Wednesay night adding 18-24" (45-60 cm) of fresh snow on top of that)

We've got 5 snowdrops Very Happy We transplanted a clump "in the green" from MiL in Wales last spring, then proceeded to have the garden wall rebuilt and feared they may not have made it. They've not all come up and they're not exactly in the clump they were planted, but they're flowering Very Happy

More snow, piled higher and deeper.

We'd send you a picture if we better knew how but you'd think it horrid, North Pole like, and for us, while a snowier than average winter, not even close to a record breaker. More or less normal for interior New England.

Snowdrops are out (have I ever said how much I dislike snowdrops? Sorry, I know it's something you're supposed to like, but I find them cold and a bit depressing.*) When we bought our house here. during the fist Spring we discovered that we had a flowerbed which was about 15 feet x 3 feet which was solid snowdrops. Since then I have dug many up and given them away to friends and relatives, but some hardy little specimens still hang on!!

The daffs are hardly in bud yet, but there are some crocus and lovely little iris reticulata, also self-sown primroses which are beautiful.

* I don't much like Winnie the Pooh either, which apparently is another cardinal sin
