default New Kiva Loan

Felicitas Huaman Astete

This borrower belongs to the “VIRGEN ESTRELLA DE OROPESA” communal bank. This bank is located in the province of Oropesa, in the department of Cusco.

Her name is Felicitas: she is single and 51 years old, with 3 children, aged 29, 24, and 17. She works making breads. This area is known for its people who make traditional bread, and most of the members work baking bread. Currently, they hold the prize for quality, and their breads are very well known in the Cusco region. They usually take their breads to the highway to sell, waiting for the cars going from Cusco to Arequipa or vice versa to stop and buy bread. However, there are many other villages along the route that do the same thing. The borrower needs this loan to buy ingredients such as shortening and yeast to prepare her dough. She will also need to buy fuel for the oven. The borrower is requesting the loan to buy supplies for preparing bread.

The borrower is very grateful for the loan and is committed to making the payments for this loan in a disciplined manner.

Good luck, all at Sparhawk towers hope your bread sells well, & would one day love to be able to buy a loaf made by your own hands...

It's lovely to think that this loan enables Felicitas to continue to make a traditional product, and to support herself.
