Is clotted blood any use in cooking?

I have been killing a few rabbits lately and have been washing the blood into the garden as it clots so fast in the heat but if I collect it in a cup and put it on ice till done with the rest of the butchering, is it good for anything?

Even our gardening is vegan (though the occasional thing sneaks in if she's not with us!)

Blood puddings? Where is Billy when you need him?

JG I don't use any animal by products, ( apart from chicken poo) on the garden either.

Laughing My garden is a charnel house of left over bits of butchered animals, pets and rescued car struck animals that don't make it. Its all good Cool

But where I butcher is just scruffy grass so its a shame to waste the blood on it Laughing Billy was talking about his offaloaf but he said unclotted blood..................

Hmmmm, might just put a bucket of water under today's bunny and the blood in for the veg. garden. Would save wasting it this time and give Billy time to chime in with the best way to use clotted blood Wink Laughing

Clotted blood is fine - fry it up with some onions or use it to bulk up a sausage mix, in stews whatever.

Never even thought of just frying it up Embarassed although now you mention it, you said something about scrambled eggs and blood, didnt you?
