default Bunting & decorating the garage (inside!)

Post by Daveswife on 25th July 2011, 3:16 pm

Every year we have a BBQ at our house for the wine and beer circle members and a few other friends too, and for many years we have been lucky to have a lovely warm evening and no rain.

I should like to have a Wet Weather Plan in place for this year and because the rooms in our house are small and we would not get everyone in one space for beer- and wine-tasting, I thought about doing this in the garage. Incidentally there has not been a car in there for about 50 years! I will move the bicycles to the shed.

I can have a tidy-up and can put the garden/picnic chairs round with some pretty cushions on them and a gingham cloth on the table for the beer and glasses, but am looking for ideas for decorating the space so it looks cosy'ish.

All I can think of is BUNTING - I can make some from fabric bits - if you have done this did you use iron-on vilene or two layers of fabric?

Christmas lights.

Otherwise I am a bit clueless! Does anyone have any easy ideas?

Thanks everso much.
