Ruku Hamal
Sainbu Bhaishepati, Nepal Food | Fruits & Vegetables

A loan of $375 helps Ruku Hamal to buy potatoes for her business.
Ruku is 43 years old. She is married and has 2 children, aged 20 and 15. In 2001, she established her potato selling business. Working 7 days a week and 8 hours a day, she supports her family. She has already received and successfully repaid 6 loans from Patan BPW and used her most recent to buy potatoes for her business.
She is a wholesaler in the potato business. She sells potatoes cheaply in the local market. She buys potatoes from the Kalimati bazaar which is one of the famous wholesale vegetable bazaars of the Kathmandu valley. She uses Kiva loans to buy potatoes for her business In the future, Ruku plans to uplift the economic condition of her family. She thanks you for your support.

Location Undisclosed, Iraq Food | Bakery

Adnan has been baking flatbread for 12 years, stretching out the dough on a special pillow used for throwing the thin bread on the inside wall of the hot, cave-like stone oven. The simple, delicious bread is purchased by families every day, carrying away piles of 10-12 freshly baked goods.
Adnan has been supporting his family, his wife and one child, from this business, but the bakery was recently destroyed and burned down.
To be able to quickly return to his business, Adnan took a loan from Relief International-Iraq in the amount of $3,000 USD to help him renovate the flourishing bakery.
