Daily Mail compares UK govt with Nazis.. !
OK, confused? Yes I was too when this was sent to me. I will admit to glancing through the Daily Heil if someone highlights a link on facebook, but this is just plain weird, an article, almost well written, that details Camersons attack on the vulnerable of the UK and compares it to the cleansing of Nazi Germany - have I stepped through a portal to bizarro world?

Symptomatic of ideological blinders? Symptomatic of coming from an ideological place which lumps all of one's opponents inot the same camp regardless of how different they might be?
Let's discuss the Neo-liberals. No, they are not attacking the poor and downtrodden. They simply don't give two hoots whether they live or die. Or more precisely, consider it voluntary whether one cares or doesn't, whether one contributes from one's own resources or does not. You would not expect these people to criticize those among themselves as well as those of less means who choose to be charitable (and they see it as "charity).
We see a great deal of rhetoric along the lines of this article. Criticism of failing to act to prevent harm as if that were identical with acting to cause harm. It is one thing to criticize both (for different reasons) but quite another to treat them as identical.
Or to stick to the exact parallel from the article -- no, the Nazis wanted their tragets harmed and considered any who helped thier targets to be enemies/traitors. The "Liberals" may not care to have their respources used to help the vulnerable but they wouldn't mind if anybody else did it.

Where I come from we call them Neo Cons, Libertarians or Tories
The real point I was trying to make is that the Daily Mail (or Daily Heil) is the most Right Wing newspaper in the UK, famous for its headline"Hurrah for the Blackshirts" in January 1934...
It must be bad, when a Paper of the Right thinks that a Tory govt is behaving like the Nazis it once praised...

Not sure you fully understand the cultural significance of the Daily Mail, Mike.
