Feel free to stop me at any time Laughing

Meat Brick making sure she is nice and clean after digging in the sand.

Two big fat New Zealand Reds keeping cool in the fresh dug sand.

Honey, my very first doe with one of her latest litters.

And this is her again with the entire litter. She is NOT deformed, just cleaning her front paw but at first glance she looks like one odd bunny! She is such a good mum and so sweet that she is now going to get to start my new rabbit project, Harlequin New Zealands.

This is not a rabbit but instead its the quail cage. I joined my two Coturnix groups into one yesterday and put them all in here. They have settled in really well with no fighting.

And last but not least.............

Psycho birds! Guinea fowl are NUTS!!! The picture doesnt show it but they are trying to trample each other to death just to get away from the person who FEEDS THEM!!!

Stupid birds. Evil or Very Mad

Hope they taste better than they behave. Twisted Evil

A farmer friend who had some Guinea fowl (technically I think they were for his nephew) said they were pretty stupid. I do think they are good eating though - tastier than chicken. I like to cook them in a Greek style - sit the bird on a bed of chips/wedges of potato and other root veg, rub with olive oil, salt, oregano and garlic, shove half a lemon inside and scatter the other half around in wedges, then roast. Mmm.

That sounds like a reason to let them live a bit longer, mmmmmm yummy!

Every place I have been that has guineas had a path on the OUTSIDE of their fences from the Guinea's flying over the fence and then not being able to figure out the way back in. Rolling Eyes
