Is it possible to cook chestnuts in the microwave, either peeled or unpeeled?

And also, how do you cook them in/on a log burner?

Apparently so, Pol - the internet is a wonderful thing. Try this link: http://www.chestnutfarms.com/Farm/use/use.html

Thanks for that, though there is nothing like doing them on an open fire.

I've been having a quick surf on the net, and came across this website.http://leslieland.com/2009/11/fresh-chestnuts-%E2%80%93-roasting-them-peeling-them-putting-them-in-the-stuffing/
It doesn't mention microwaves, but there was a lot of other information including a bit about log burners. I only asked because last time I tried to find info on the net there wasn't anything. A few years on, a few more people are trying to roast chestnuts on log burners (not always successfully from what I hear!)
Are you planning to cook them for stuffing, Pol?
