default Seed swap 2014

Post by Dandelion on 17th January 2014, 6:39 pm

The New Year has started, and soon the gardening year will be underway. Who's up for a seed swap? I know Pol wants to be on the list - anyone else? And is there anything anyone particulalry wants, which someone else might be able to help them out with? The pack is mainly veg so far, but if anyone wants to add some flower seeds so much the better. If you haven't joined in the seed swap before you'll need to PM me your address, otherwise just raise your hand and I'll count you in!!

Count me in again Dandelion. I saved some seeds specially for it last autumn.

Thanks once more for organising this.

Great idea Chilli - it enlarges the gene pool, or at least the group of us sharing seeds! I usually pass the pack round at school when I get it back in the late Spring, just to get a bit more variety

I will put some Tutankhamun peas in to the pack - I don't believe for a minute that they came from the tomb of King Tut, but they are from Lord Caernarvon's family seat of Highclere castle, so the house used in Downton Abbey!!

I've only heard from Chilli and Pol so far - can I assume that everyone who took part in the seed swap last year (and who is still appearing on the forum from time to time) would like the package? I really should send it off soon.

How so Dandelion? I said yes please on the preceding page, and so did Ploshkin. Do you need me to PM you with my address again. P said she was going to anyway, being new.

Ooh sorry - I must have been in a dream! No, I have all necessary addresses thanks, just need a bit of time to get things organised. Will probably post off at the beginning of next week and will let the addressee know when i've done it.

Right - I've got my act together, over the virus I had last week, firing on all cyclinders and I've just posted the seeds off to Ploshkin. ETA early next week.

Hopefully it'll arrive early next week - when you've had time for a browse and are ready to pass it on let me know and I'll PM you the address of the next person on the list.

I've done the deed with the seeds though at present it doesn't look as if I will be able to grow anything other than rice or watercress.

Would you please pm me the address for the next recipient Dandelion.

What's happened to this parcel then ? Has it arrived FB ? Or has the Parcelforce pigeon collapsed of exhaustion on route ?

Sorry CH, I should have said. Yes it arrived last week, has been looked at and I PM'd Dandelion earlier today for the next address. Mind, the pigeon could well have collapsed, as it seemed to be an extra fat parcel this year.

I think there's just one more on the list (which I will PM to you Freebird) - anyone else interested?
