I came across this article today, on a website called 'A Way To Garden'. It makes interesting reading, and much of it is probably in line with things that we try to do in our own gardens.

Mmmm, yes - good reading.

In Sainsburys this week I discovered some fibre pots - the sort you put a plant in then plant out and the pot rots away. I was looking to see if they were peat or coir, and discovered that they were in fact made from recycled paper. I bought some to try them out - at 99p they were quite reasonable. I have a little wooden gizmo for making newspaper pots (the sort of thing which Chilli head was making) but haven't had time to make any, so these pots might be good. Always glad when a major supplier puts a product on the shelf which includes recycling as part of the manufacture process
