Repayments have been slow, so we just had $50 to relend



Nazgul is 40 years old, married, and together with her husband, is raising three sons. Nazgul has a secondary education. As the main source of income for her family, Nazgul practices livestock breeding. She started this business 21 years ago with an initial purchase of livestock in the amount of 20,000 som (KGS). Thanks to the hard work of Nazgul and her sons, she currently has 2 milk cows, 2 calves, 20 sheep and 1 foal on her farm. Her monthly income is 10,000 som (KGS). For the purpose of further developing her business, Nazgul turned to Microfinance Bank "Bai Tushum." She is requesting a loan to buy calves to increase the size of her herd. Nazgul plans to invest the earnings from the loan in the further acquisition of livestock. She also intends to save money for the further education of her children at university.



Veronika is a 30-year-old single woman with four children. She has a small plantation and grows taro, taamu and bananas to earn a living. She has been doing this for more than five years. Veronika has requested a loan to buy bush knives, filings, an axe, chemicals and a wheelbarrow for her business. She has been a member of SPBD since 2012. With her profits,Veronika hopes to continue with her business to pay for her children's education and to help support her family as well.
