default Greenhouse Envy

I know you are delighted with your new greenhouse Dandelion but here's something to make you envious.
With a couple of hours to kill before our ferry we visited the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin (& then nearly missed the ferry - got lost in Dublin & arrived 5 mins before sailing). I would highly recommend a visit if any of you are ever in Dublin - there is no admission charge. There are outside herbaceous borders, an arboretum, a very large pond and massive glasshouses with a huge variety of climatic areas. This is one of the glasshouses

Amazing! (I don't think I'd want a greenhouse that big though - I have trouble reaching the windows in mine as it is!!) I've had a quick look on the Botanic Gardens website - interestingly the first glasshouse was designed and built a short time before the Great Exhibition opened in London. There seem to be real similarities in the structures. Would love to visit it some time - thanks for sharing.
