Badger, you said this on another thread...

Badger wrote:Sounds great

If you want to mirror your blog on here, then let me know, I will activate the blogs function on the forum

Badger, I thought the Blog function was to set up a blog via The Homemade Life site, which I really didn't want to do as I already have a blog site......but do I take it we can we just have our existing blogs up on here then? as a mirrror site?

as that would be a nice idea methinks.... Smile

Well not entirely sure that a direct mirroring would be possible, the idea is that a blog function is an option for the forum and if so inclined Green Rosie could copy her posts into it.

Could I do that? I would be more than happy to copy my posts in!

Not sure about the photo aspect as I upload them direct to Blogger......

Not sure how that would work Badger in terms of amount of time to copy across photos etc (mine are all hosted by Typepad for instance).

Do we have anywhere where we could post links to our blogs generally - other than in our profiles - as there are quite a few members whose blogs I'm sure I'd be interested in if I knew about them. Would / could this cause problems though if people put adverts on their blogs (as I do) from any sort of a conflict of interest front as I'm sure there was / is something in the TOCs which is why we can't post links in sigs. Or am I misremembering / getting generally confused?

NO reason why links to blogs can't go into signatures.

Had a think overnight and getting up with the hyper puppy at 5.30, gives me lots of musing time.

I think that I will only offer blog space to new blogs rather than mirroring existing ones, to be honest the admin time for me would be onerous and as I build up to spring I am going to be super busy as it is.

So if anyone wants to start up a new blog, just pm me.

Thanks Badger - I was thinking about the admin of copying and pasting everything here (and working out photo links) and it seemed a bit of a nightmare. Will also get blog links in sig - I'm sure there was a reason why not, but with a pregnancy brain I'm damned if I can remember what it was!

Thanks! :flower:
