Post by Sparhawk on 24th April 2010, 7:42 am

Well I have offered to see if I can give a hand with this little thread, I have some ideas for bits & pieces the first I would like to introduce is this one which will restart each week running Sunday to Saturday (strange I know but thats the way I have to plan for my work).

Where I would ask anybody to put on TV programmes that they think other people may find interesting...

Just put day, time, channel, if you want you could put a brief bit about what the programe is about & whether it is a series or a one off, Mrs C has also suggested putting a link if possible if it's something that's then available online (e.g. through iPlayer or 4OD).

For the moment can we try to keep it forum related stuff (which I know covers a multitude of sins)...

Three new ones for this week:

Monday 08:00pm ITV1, Countrywise: series 4 of 24:
(I don't watch this as I am getting up close & personal with my tuba on monday evenings ) A nature reserve in Orford Ness that was once a military testing site, & a look at warreners using old methods to clear rabbits from farmland...

Wednesday 2:50am (in the morning Shocked) BBC1, Mastercrafts, series: one for the insomniacs amongst us...

Thursday 8:00pm Ch 4, The Landscape Man, series 2 of 6: didn't catch this one last week, but the blurb says "Restoring the grounds of a 900 year old castle in Essex"...

Have recorded the first Landscape Man, but no time to watch it yet - it looks wonderful (a couple who live in a shed but have created a wonderful landscape to live in.)

Made time to watch the first Landscape Man, which was totally wonderful. The couple who were in the process of creating the landscape actually lived in a holiday chalet rather than a shed. They were passionate about the project: the husband designed and carried out most of the work, and his wife was a painter who was inspired by the garden, and also did a lot of weeding! You could probably catch it still on iPlayer...

Not TV but BBC Radio 4: late night (but hey listen to it on i-player) Monday to Wednesday "The Vote NOW Show".
Great political satire!
